December 17th 2012

Today I went out with my sister to buy some winter things. I got winter boots. :)
We had a good and fun time together. I always enjoy a day out with my sister...well, most of the time! ;)

 I then came home and ate supper. Then helped Daddy clean off a rifle and then 'stain' it. It looks really pretty.

Talking about pretty, I got some nice picture of the snow and clouds today and some pictures yesterday as well. All with my new camera.

                                            Two of clouds and snow:

One of icicles:

And random one of Misty and little black kitty:

One of our turkey hens:

                                   Our goats in the snow (far away shot):

This year is nearly over and I am thankful for all I have gotten done.
This year being a year of times of laughter, times of sorrow, times of being with friends and family, times of making new friends, working hard, taking it easy, and in all these things, most importantly, glorifying God and sharing His truth to those around us.
May next year be all this and more. :)

May the Lord bless you all in the coming year of 2013 and the other years following!

December 26th 2012- Not much

Hey folks!

I am like almost all well from the flu. The rest of my family is getting it, but thankfully not as badly as I did! :)

Right now, I am listening to music, chatting with Iain and another friend, and of course, writing this blog post.

My sister now just informed me get everyone cookies...

Okay, I am back. It took longer than I thought.

I found a good picture online that I can so relate to. Made me chuckle a little as well:

Not much has been going on here- just the same for now.
So, it snowed a lot. Maybe tomorrow I will get some uploaded on here, so y'all can see them. :)

I have had a busy week this week, so that is why I haven't blogged much. That and I have been 'kicked' back because of my flu.

And, on Saturday, I will be talking to Iain again. Can I say 'YAY!' loud enough?

Anyway, I'll catch y'all later!

Goodnight and God bless! :)

December 24th 2012- Snow!

Today is finally snowed! :) I always enjoy seeing everything outside all white and sparkly. Maybe tomorrow I'll take a couple pictures with my camera...I think yes!

So, I have to letters done and another to go...well, at least for now. I have a lot of people who are planning to write me letters soon, so I will have my hands full.

I spent most of my day today doing school, so that went well. :)
I feel much better today. I am thankful for that.

I'll talk to you all later!
Blessings.

Tonight's Family Worship

Tonight for Family Worship we read some from 'Sermons in Times of Persecution', read Ephesians 6, sang Psalm 75, and discussed from all three. We had a blessed time.

Ephesians 6

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Psalm 75 (in metre)

1 To thee, O God, do we give thanks,
we do give thanks to thee;
Because thy wondrous works declare
thy great name near to be.

2 I purpose, when I shall receive
the congregation,
That I shall judgment uprightly
render to ev’ry one.

3 Dissolved is the land, with all
that in the same do dwell;
But I the pillars thereof do
bear up, and stablish well.

4 I to the foolish people said,
Do not deal foolishly;
And unto those that wicked are,
Lift not your horn on high.

5 Lift not your horn on high, nor speak
6 with stubborn neck. But know,
That not from east, nor west, nor south,
promotion doth flow.

7 But God is judge; he puts down one,
and sets another up.
8 For in the hand of God most high
of red wine is a cup:

‘Tis full of mixture, he pours forth,
and makes the wicked all
Wring out the bitter dregs thereof;
yea, and they drink them shall.

9 But I for ever will declare,
I Jacob’s God will praise.
10 All horns of lewd men I’ll cut off;
but just men’s horns will raise.

Psalm 122

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.
Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.
For my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee. Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

December 20th 2012- Pics

Today went much better than yesterday, so I am thankful for that. Right now I just have the coughs and a stuffy nose.

So today, I did some school, took care of my animals usual and took a jog/run. It was a pretty productive day for me.

I was going to post some pictures last night that I took this week, but my blog would let me post them right...Grrrr!

So here I am again to give you guys them; I don't have a lot to write ,so hopefully these will make up for it.  ;)

From top to bottom: Tonight's supper (salad and cheese sandwiches), close up of cheese sandwich, the other night's supper (cranberry sauce and goat soup- both homemade) along with my chai tea, having some fun with alphabet noodles, a picture of me with my new camera (sorry, it isn't the best, but it is the only one I have at the moment), a self-picture, Tabitha sorting out cranberries, another supper (goat leg), close up of cranberries, a supper again (pork from our pigs with cranberries on top), and last, but not least, my dog, named Thunder, giving me his 'Thunder look'.

Well, thanks for stopping by again! God bless you all!

December 19th 2012- Flu

I was going to write a blog post last night, but I didn't get around to it since time did not permit me to do so.
So...here I am again, starting this one.

Today I am getting better from the flu.

Here is how it all started, if you feel so keen to know, or maybe you don't care, but in that case, I am writing this any way, so look away.

The day before yesterday I got 'hit' suddenly with the flu while I was doing math.
And later in the day I laid down and drank some tea because it got worse. (Thanks to Iain for telling me to lay down and drink some tea! You are such a kind-hearted man!)

When I did finally get to bed that night, I woke up several times having a stuffy nose and throat- It was horrible.
I got up yesterday morning and ate breakfast which for me consisted of canned peaches and tea. (Everyone else ate cold cereal.)
I got a stomachache and I felt like throwing up and since the dogs needed to be taken out, my sister told me told me it might be a good idea to go outside if I felt sick. I did then go outside... and then felt more and more sick...until I promptly  throw up my breakfast...twice. I stayed out for a little longer to make sure I wasn't going to throw up a third time. I didn't.
I felt better and went back in.
Throughout yesterday, I had aches in my muscles and joints, had a headache, and also was queasy on and off a couple of times, but I didn't throw up again, thankfully.

Even through all this, I really don't have anything to complain about. I have a warm home, loving family, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ for encouragement, and so much more. I am so thankful for each and every one of you!! (Plus, this is the first sickness all year!)

I have made up my mind to try to write on this blog everyday; telling about my day and what I am thankful for and other things if I manage to get the time.

I'll leave it there for now. God bless you all and thanks for stopping by again! :)

My Photography and some Jib-Jab

No worries, I am still alive! ;)

We spent around two weeks butchering four pigs and bringing their meaty carcases to the 'professional' people (for packaging and such), making scrapple, and all that goes along with it. It was a wonderful time with my family.

My Dad surprised me recently by getting me a Canon Rebel T3 camera!!! I am so happy!

So I guess I might as well share some new ones I took with my camera. :)

All of these are taken by the new camera and not edited, except the last three, which were taken by me with our older camera; those were edited in some way or another.

From top to bottom-- Thunder (my dog), one of our goats, a sunset from our property, fluffy kitten looking up, fluffy kitten yawning, black kitten looking at the camera, Tabitha (my sister) peeling shrimp, Tabitha concentrating on peeling shrimp, Mommy, next two are Tabitha as well, and then the last one is a sunset with Bible verse.  Well, I hope you enjoy them.

Good night everyone and thanks for stopping by again. :D
Peace out!
