Today we went to a park with some friends...

I took this picture when the sun was setting; isn't God's Creation just a wonder to behold! (This picture was not touched-up in any way.)

My one friend took this picture of me and I just "had" to share it. I was wearing my favourite shirt (It says, "Abortion stops a beating heart") and holding a baby, so we decided it would be a great combination for a picture.

Well, hope y'all enjoyed! I'll hopefully post more before the end  of the week.
But Goodnight for now! :)
Cheers!

Brian Schwertley on the public means of grace and the Lord’s Day

(Shared from:http://americancovenanter89.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/brian-schwertley-on-the-public-means-of-grace-and-the-lords-day/

Brian Schwertley

“The sabbath day is the day that God has set aside for the public worship of Himself. This involves preaching from the Bible, [1] reading the Word of God, [2] the administration of the sacraments, [3] the giving of tithes, [4] hearing the Word of God, [5] prayer to God, [6] and the singing of psalms. [7] Those who believe and teach that church attendance and public worship are optional do not understand the Scriptures. Those who claim Christ as Savior, yet neglect the public gathering of God’s covenant people on the Lord’s day, the day specifically set aside to honor Jesus Christ, are Christ-dishonoring hypocrites. “The New Testament sabbath being observed on the first day of the week, is without doubt designed particularly for the honor of Christ, and to be celebrated as an abiding memorial of his resurrection from the dead, by which he was declared to be the Son of God with power, and our accepted surety: for, as by dying he paid our debt, being ‘delivered for our offenses,’ so by his resurrection he took out our acquittance, for he ‘was raised again for our justification,’ Rom. iv. 25. The advancement of that despised Stone to be the head of the corner, was that which made this day remarkable, Ps. cxviii. 22, 24; and they who despise this dignified day, do in effect still trample upon that exalted Stone.” [8] When God has given us six days in which to conduct our affairs, the missing of public worship for sleep, business or personal pleasure is inexcusable. The state of our hearts is proved by our outward actions (Mt. 6:16-20); to neglect the public honoring of Jesus Christ for any reason other than illness or emergency proves that one’s love and allegiance to Christ are a sham.”
Rev. Brian M. Schwertley, The Christian Sabbath: Examined, Proved, Applied

[1] Mt. 26:13; Mk. 16:15; Ac. 9:20, 17:10, 20:8; 1 Cor. 14:28; 2 Tim. 4:2.
[2 Mk. 4:16-20; Ac. 1:13, 13:15, 16:13; 1 Tim. 4:13; 1 Cor. 11:20; Rev. 1:13.
[3] Mt. 26:26-29, 28:19; Ac. 20:11; 1 Cor. 11:24-25. The neglect of public worship on the Lord’s Day shows not only a total disregard of the fourth commandment, but also a disregard of the sacrament of the Lord’s supper and God’s visible church. God instituted a government—an authority structure—for His visible church. The administration of the Lord’s supper is to be done on the Lord’s day by a duly-appointed minister of the gospel. The Lord’s supper is a public ordinance that is only for members of Christ’s visible church. It also is only to be taken after the preaching of God’s Word. In the Lord’s supper, Christ’s death is showed forth. Believers, by faith, spiritually feed upon Christ and are made “partakers of his body and blood with all his benefits.” To purposely avoid becoming a member of Christ’s visible church, and especially to spurn the Lord’s table, is in a sense a form ofself-excommunication. In the parable of the wedding feast those who refused to come because of various excuses (business, etc.) were cast into outer darkness (Mt. 22:1-14). Although this parable applies specifically to those who reject the gospel, what about those who spurn the Lord’s table in order to sleep in or go to the beach, etc.?

The Christian Sabbath, Part 3 by Rev. Brian Schwertley

While the rest of my family did their personal devotions, I listened to another excellent sermon on the 'Christian Sabbath' by Rev. Brian Schwertley.
His sermons have been such a blessing to me and I hope (and pray) that they will be a blessing to you all as well; to turn your hearts to meditate on Christ and to give God the glory!

'The Death of Love'-Against the World

A must watch!
1st- We must reject everything that you have learned from the culture when it comes to love,
2nd- Look to the example of the Lord Jesus as he died on Calvary's cross,
and 3rd- Commit to the words of the apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 13:4-13

Earthly Food: Cupcakes and Fresh Milk & Spiritual Food: Psalm Singing and Bible reading

A couple of days ago I was having a blast making cupcakes. :) You know what I was thinking?...one day I'll have children to do this with! Such an exciting (and slightly scary) thought.  exciting (and slightly scary) thought.
I was making maybe around 20 or more cupcakes...All vanilla and some will be 'cream' filled. :D

I was also listening to this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2WGGNiC8f4
This is a family favourite song.  Life is just 'for a moment' so make sure you do all you can to glorify and enjoy God!

Alas, I was out of paper cup holders for cupcakes! Okay, so I ended up (after a frantic search all around my home) finding some more, but still not enough, but I just put the extras in 'buttery' greased muffin pans. Oh the joys of cooking, aye?

I made my family's famous  filling recipe for the inside of some of the cupcakes. It is so nice have recipes that my family really appreciate...Not meaning I usually make bad food... Sometimes Daddy exclaims, "This is good! Make it again!" Those words are awesome coming from people (especially men, like my Dad) when you have spent so much of your energy making it. I try to find recipes that taste great but aren't too hard to make. There are some days I feel like experimenting with new recipes, so it isn't so monotonous.

I was listening to bluegrass/country songs on Pandora and Daddy, from the living room, said, "If you keep playing country I am going to go crazy!" To which I responded, "Oh...I like it..." Daddy then , with a joking tone, "Uuuuuugh!!!!" So I, gladly, changed it to something else. :P ( I love my Daddy!! <3 ) Oh the joys of family life!

I'm "proud" to say when I was making the cupcakes I was also drinking Mark Nolt's raw milk a(fresh) and I am healthier for it. :D Thanks so much to him!!

I haven't been washing dishes lately and you know what...I am actually  missing it. I think I should change that, no?

So tonight I made Baked Cream Corn and Daddy exclaimed, "Delicious!" Yay! Well, that recipe will surely put on the high list of favorite family meals. Hopefully, I will get around to putting it up on my food blog.

I was watching some Youtube videos and alas! It has been ages since I have last put a Psalm one up! :( I hopefully will be doing more of them soon, Lord willing. Oh, how blessed I am to sing praise to God with the Psalms! Hallelujah! :D And to be able to read and discuss the Bible with my family. God is good!

We have like 18 baby Muscovy duckling now! They are just darling little things! I wish you were here to see them. Maybe tomorrow I will take a picture of them to share.

~Blessings and cheers!

Quote on the Sabbath by Jonathan Edwards

"By a strict observance of the sabbath, the face of religion is kept up in the world. If it were not for the sabbath, there would be but little public and visible appearance of serving, worshipping, and reverencing the supreme and invisible Being. The sabbath seems to have been appointed very much for this end, viz. [namely] to uphold the visibility of religion in public, or among professing societies of men; and by how much greater the strictness is with which the sabbath is observed, and with how much more solemnity the duties of it are observed among a people; by so much the greater is the manifestation among them of respect to the Divine Being.
This should be a powerful motive with us to the observation of the sabbath. It should be our study above all things to honour and glorify God. It should be the great thing with all that bear the name of Christians, to honour their great God and King, and I hope is a great thing with many that hear me at this time. If it be your inquiry, if it be your desire, to honour God; by this subject you are directed to one way whereby you may do much in that way, viz.[namely] by honouring the sabbath, and by showing a careful and strict observance of it."~ Jonathan Edwards

Christian Sabbath, 2: Seventh Day to Lord's Day by Rev. Brian Schwertley

I just finished listening to part 2 of the 'Christian Sabbath' by Mr. Brian Schwertley.
It is an excellent sermon and a must to listen to! I didn't take notes this time-hopefully will next time though.
He goes through how/why the Sabbath went from being on the seventh day to the eighth day (first day).
Everyone who reads my blog should take the time to listen to it. Thanks!

Very Inspiring Video~A Must Watch!

I stumbled upon a blog and saw this video. It is very inspiring. It tears me up inside.
It makes me think that if you truly trust in God, then with Him you can do many things you could not even imagine you could do.
They truly love each other to be able to go through this much and still love and cherish each other. I believe God has blessed them to have him be able to communicate in a loving way. :)
There are times that brain-damage can be for the worse and can make you unthankful and bitter (especially to the person trying to help/love you) and during these circumstances it can be very very tough...Especially if you are the wife/husband of the brain-injured.
God may "take" the person away from you but..." the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord."
May we all keep this to heart and may He strengthen you all!

The Christian Sabbath, Part 1 by Rev. Brian Schwertley

I just listened to this excellent sermon by Pastor Brian Schwertley and I highly recommend all to listen to it. May we all keep the Lord's Day holy and keep it focused on Christ.

To listen click link below:
http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=12405183347

(Here are some notes I took on this sermon; I paraphrased a bit.)
The Sabbath Day was a Creation ordinance. "And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."~Genesis 2:3
The Sabbath is not a Ceremonial Law.  A Creation ordinance can not be over-turned and it can't be ceremonial. It is a time to focus on Christ in our homes.
The recreation is more significant and important  than the first creation, without that we would all be in Hell.
First creation would be a disaster, it would be a creation that all human race would be destined to Hell.
For here we have, Exodus, chapter 16, four chapters before the giving of the Law, so we have the Sabbath being discussed as an institution before the giving of the law at  Sinai; it's crystal clear!
The Sabbath is in the Ten Commandments; the Moral Law.
Did God  place a temporally, purely Jewish, ceremonial law in the midst of the summery of His moral precepts? No, that is absurd and ludicrous.
The Ten Commandments were spoken by God's own mouth and written on stone by God! Everything, even the animals, are required to rest on that day.
You want to do other things on the Sabbath than worship God? Well, who gave you life? Who gave you the air you breath? Who placed you on this prosperous nation so you aren't drinking out of a mud hole in Africa? And who shed His blood on the cross for you, to wash away the guilt of your sins, so you don't burn in Hell forever?
Is it too much to ask that we separate on Day apart on/for Christ? Of course not!
This is the Day of Resurrection. We have one Holy Day a week! God is very generous to us. It is saying God hasn't given us enough.

Exodus 31:12-18~"And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.  Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God."

It is a covenant for God's chosen people!
The Lord's Day is now obligated to ALL the human race.
Keep the day focused on Christ.

Brethren, keep in mind that you worshipping God as He has commanded  is a sign to unbelievers for your love of Christ and the faithfulness of believers and of course the faithfulness of Christ who has enables us to do so.
