I always wonder how I should start my blog updates...
My life has been great lately. School went great this week.
I have my emotional ups and downs (Tell me who doesn't?)
On Monday Tabitha picked up a cake at our local bakery that I ordered for a surprise for Daddy's birthday the weekend before. Man, was it ever YUMMY!

I got a lens upgrade. :)

Here is a picture my goat Demi. Handsome fellow isn't he? Good breeding blood. Teehee (I said Teehee???! I can't stand when people say that...sounds like immature dumb talk....but yeah I said that. Ooops!)

Our property looks old...wait it is...built before the Constitution was ratified!!

One of my kittens sleeping together (I can't stand inside photography...never turn out correctly...cute enough though!!

Or we can go for this thistle flower....
"Every rose has it's thorns..."

Young Living Essential oils are amazing! :) That's an obvious statement but they are such a blessing for my family! (And other families all around the world!)

I finally got a good amount of letter writing done...only to realize I have a lot more people on my "to write" list!
I always look forward to letters in the mail. So exciting! Always "makes my day"  even better!

Ohh, I got glasses! I am still wondering if I like the look...I look a little older. Hmm, still getting used to it. What do you think?
Just so you know I am stabbing a marshmallow
So, there is an update in a nutshell...or more like through the eyes of a lens! ;)

I hope you all have a blessed Lord Day tomorrow! :)

"The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." ~Psalm 18:2

Update (Cleaning, Photography, etc)

I am going to start co-cleaning at people's houses soon with the friend I cleaned the post office with for 7 months.
I am excited about that.
It will give me time to do my personal life things as well. We will be working the time we want to and such. Also, we'll be using only Natural homemade cleaners. Can I get a Yes ma'am? I am so excited!

Today I spent almost 5 hours cleaning a friend's home for a  surprise for the guy's wife, since the house was really dirty and they were on vacation and he wanted her to come home to a clean home. It was likely one of the dirtest houses I have ever cleaned....but it was meticulously organized, which was nice...but ohh so dirty!  Also, they had all wood floors which is totally me all the way! :D (Even the old skinny dark wood floors type. Yeah! )

So last week I got Flemish Giant Rabbits. I will be building them hutches very soon. Breeding comes in a couple months down the road...crazy!

On top of all this craziness I am going to upgrade my camera lens. If I feel I have enough saved up first. We'll see! But let's not get ahead of myself...

I am also starting up school again. It has been on and off recently. It has been hard readjusting to not cleaning at the PO every day. All is good though! : -)
There is truly nothing like HOME!

As always..God be the GLORY. =)

Peace out.

Update (June 27th)

Heyy y'all!

I know it has been a while and I feel it is about time for an update on everything going on. Aye?

I can't believe how fast this year is going by!
So, I am going to tell you a little secret! I am setting up (with a friend of mine who is a web designer) a website for general homemaking. I am soo excited how it is turning out and will share it with y'all when it is published. :) It has been months since I started setting it up and it is ALMOST done. *Happy Squeal!*

The weather has been nice and warm...but cool, which is nice, but I am a warm weather all the way y'all. I am a Southern gal at heart....You know that already! ;) But knowing me, I'll end up marrying a true Northern and I'll be stuck up North for the rest my life. Ha! Seriously though, I'll be thankful where ever the Lord places me in life. :) Just...please no Alaska!!! ;)

So I made some yummy muffin recipes lately. I made on of Lemon Curd Blueberry, but don't know where my pictures of them are. :( They looked and tasted amazing! Ohh myy, I am getting hungry just thinking about them! :D

Alright, so I am going to be leaving my Post office janitor job soon. I am happy and sad at the same time. I can't wait to be home, but I'll miss all the friends I have made there! The business I (and my friend who I am co-working with) am working for is putting the business up for bid because the woman who runs it is married with 5 children and with starting homeschooling this year is too much for her. Sounds reasonable though. I am so excited to be home from all the work I had to there in only a couple weeks! I will be able to clean/ organize our home more then!
And, not to mention finally get my school done or at least get more done! I wont get into that though as I get myself upset. God's timing- God's timing. :)

I am researching different places on the benefits of raw milk. I have been drinking it for years and years now and never ever want to go back to that gross, bad for you, processed store bought milk. I pray that when I get married I will be able to bless my family with raw milk (and other healthy, natural products)- the wonders of God's natural and fresh products!!

I need to practice photography shots for my hopefully upcoming session with a newborn....Yes, a NEWBORN! I am so scared about that....What if I make a mistake.....I can't really retake a newborn session....Ugh....PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!! And a lot of Prayer! :)

Here is a photo I got of one of friend's little man at his 6 month session. Isn't he adorable?!??! (And kissable?! ;) )

Ohh, this spring I got a buck kid from a friend that lives in New York, and that has been great! His name is Demi. Here's a picture I got of him.
All our farm animals are doing well and enjoying the mild summer weather. We will be having pork from our two huge hogs very soon. Soo excited, even though I will miss their daily morning happy greeting grunts. *sniff* *grabs the tissue box* "Ohh nevermind! I smell BACON!!!!!"

I am going to be selling this kitty soon. Hoping he goes to a very special home!

I am going to be getting back into practicing guitar playing as well. That's exciting for me too.
We'll see what I'll be able to get done this fast-going year!

God bless you all!! :)

October 24th, 2013 (Photography)

I have been putting off writing a blog post until I had something new to talk about. Well, I have something to talk about- or more than "something".

To start off, my photography is going great! Did two sessions in the last two weeks (one of a family and their kiddos (together and separate, and another of another family of just their kiddos) and I have another one (a 2- year old child's birthday session) this Friday! One a week does not sound like much, I know, but with the editing that goes along with it and all that's related, it keeps me busy!

Although if anyone is wanting to do a session- I am all up for it! Just contact me at: SunnyMeadowPhotography@aim.com
I am charging $100.00 for one hour session- this includes a CD or Flashdrive with some of the pictures- usually around 15-25- depending on how many turn out. :)

I figured I might as well write this before it gets even more busy!

The Dillow Family!

Going to start school up again as well. :D

Everyone have a great day and thanks again for stopping by!

Hope you enjoyed my photography. God be the glory! :)

Goodnight! <3

August 14th, 2013 (Life, Photography, and Lord's Day Quote)

I can't believe how fast this summer is going by!!

Almost September people!

General things are going on- school, house cleaning, outside farm work, cooking, photography, etc.

Photography is going awesome and am learning so many new things! It is so exciting! :) I am thinking about starting to shoot in RAW soon and looking forward to working with that! Progress- ohh yeahh!

I am also going to start up my sewing again. A skill I want to learn more of because it is so beneficial. You can also do so much at home to make money if you learn to sew.

I have made a good amount of food recently...that I really should have taken pictures of and posted on my food blog, but never did, so maybe next time!

But if you are wanting to see some of my recent photography, I'll share some from my most recent session- to see more, go to my 'Sunny Meadow' Photography Facebook Page.

A friend of mine is wanting me to take family session/ children portraits in the second week of September. So, hopefully by that time I will be shooting in RAW and editing will look better!

Here are the pictures I took recently of this beautiful girl! :)
(I told you all about doing her session on my 'July 22nd' blog post here. )

And, lastly, picture wise, here is what I had for supper... It was delicious!!!! :D

Alright, everyone have a blessed Lord's Day! Thanks again for stopping by, my friends!
"We love God’s day. We do not only keep a sabbath, but love a sabbath. ‘If thou call the sabbath a delight’ (Isaiah 58:13). The sabbath is that which keeps up the face of religion amongst us; this day must be consecrated as glorious to the Lord. The house of God is the palace of the great King, on the sabbath God shows Himself there through the lattice. If we love God we prize His day above all other days. All the week would be dark if it were not for this day; on this day manna falls double. Now, if ever, heaven gate stands open, and God comes down in a golden shower. This blessed day the Sun of righteousness rises upon the soul. How does a gracious heart prize that day which was made on purpose to enjoy God in!" ~Thomas Watson
